So long, London

I’ve wanted to go to Hawaii for as long as I can remember. The idea of walking the beach with sand between my toes, feeling the cool, crisp ocean air and the sun beaming down on me sounds like heaven – especially for a Canadian like I who spends most of the year feeling too cold for my own good. People talk about the weather being perfect, and I completely agree. It’s not too hot, it’s not too cold. It seems to be just right to make the most out of it.

I wish I could explain the sense of calm that I feel. Then again, I’ve heard this sense of calm is very, very normal around when visiting Hawaii so perhaps everyone gets it.

I can’t imagine how it would feel to live in a place like Hawaii year round. A girl can dream.

  1. You had me thinking you’d gone to visit England but it’s a bit cold just now, not what you were looking for!

    1. Well, I wish. but I only had four days. I feel like Vancouver to England is a long and mighty trek time zone wise for just 4 days!

  2. When you said island, I was gonna guess Hawaii 🏝️ I’ve always wanted to visit Hawaii and still haven’t had the chance yet. There’s a Dole Factory there which is 100% touristy but I really really want to see it. Because pineapples and pineapple-themed everything! 🍍

    1. I was only there for a couple of days – it was a bit of a surprise trip I only booked 24 hours in advance. I wish I could go back for longer and see more. I’m not a huge pineapple fan, but I’d go to the Dole Factory just to say I’d been, ya know? I’d love to go spend more time at the beach, go to do more shopping, maybe go through a hike in the rainforest. There’s so much to do there, and I wound up just going to a wedding and spending some time next to the pool! lol
